I’m Michelle Holdaway, and I’m excited to be the Director of the Carlsbad Singers Company! Originally from Orange County, I moved to Carlsbad, CA in 2012 with my husband and five children.

Over the years we have seen our older children graduate from High School and move on to college, careers, and even marriage! My youngest, Maggie, participated in Singers Company when she was in Elementary School, and now, as a High School student, she will be helping me teach! We both enjoy all things musical, and working with children. An avid singer, I have participated in musicals and choirs, and even found myself in an opera in college (Carmen).

I am passionate about positive influences, inclusion, and the Arts. I hope to help the girls in our group have fun, learn skills, gain confidence, and be a shining light to others.

I went to BYU to study Theatre Arts & Secondary Education (so had lots of stage training), but eventually earned a BS in International Relations, after studying 6 months in Jerusalem, Israel, and 18 months in Tokyo, Japan. Currently, I sing with a women’s choral group in North County, and in the San Diego Saints Choir.
